Book Review and Giveaway: Danny The Dragon Meets Jimmy. Ends Oct 20th

Danny the Dragon meets Jimmy written by Tina Turbin and illustrated by Aija Jasuna.

Danny the Dragon and his traveling companion Skipper come across a new home and meet a new family, in the most unusual way. Where are they from? How did they get here?

My Review: While at the beach with his family, Jimmy came across a beautiful green and white shell when he picked the shell up it said “Hello!” In the shell happens to live a dragon named Danny and his navigator Skipper. We later find out that Danny is a very polite dragon. After been invited to dinner, Danny suggested that Jimmy and his sister Sally clear the table and help with the dishes. Jimmy wanted to know more about Danny and how a big creature can live in a shell.

I like a book that is full of imagination and this Best Books Award Finalist USA Book News book is just that. Children can learn a good lesson from this book as it helps promote politeness and responsibility, teaching children about manners and chores.

The illustrations in this book are wonderful as it shows the politeness of a gentle dragon. I highly recommend this book not only for your children’s library but also for classroom reading. Danny the dragon is also available on DVD and CD.
