Book Review/Giveaway: Lil Glimmer. Ends March 10th
About the Book: Lil Glimmer is a star who learns patience and sharing from his mother. He gets frustrated, but in the end he realizes that taking his turn and sharing is the right thing to do.
My Review: What a cute book about patience and learning how to share. Glimmer the Star wanted to come out and play during the day but Mommy Star told Glimmer to wait for the darkness to come because it was the turn of the Sun to come out and play. This is a fun book to read to your child during bed time.
The illustrations by James McCullough are bright and bold and help tells the story.

I like the unique idea of sharing using a little star and the sun analogy!
Most children have to process and practice patience and sharing in life…
What better way than to discuss it than a fun book with wonderful illustrations?!
Many thanks, Cindi

I really like the concept behind this book. It’s hard to learn to share, but it prepares children for the give and take of life. This book would be a great read for my own children as well as my school children. I’m a kindergarten teacher.

this would be a great book for my sister whose 3 year old daughter is having a hard time sharing with her 18 month old brother. I like the positive message and cute characters.

My daughter could certainly use a lesson about patience.

I am looking for books about things we associate with the night (stars, moons, fireflys) for our library’s summer reading progam and this sounds perfect.

This would be a great book for my nephew!

We love nighttime books to get the kids ready for bed – this looks adorable and one we would like to add to the collection!

The lesson of patience is sometimes hard for a child to embrace. A book that is attractively designed and written to express the trait of patience is a welcome addition to a child’s bookshelf.

I am sure my impatient grandkids would love Lil Glimmer – most of the time they try very hard with each other but Lil Glimmer could show them that it isn’t just kids that need patience.

making a star the main character to deal with sharing is great – can be tied in with using a behavior chart at school/home!

What a great lesson to teach young ones. My children are pretty good about sharing and taking turns with others, but when it comes to sharing with each other, it doesn’t usually go over very well! LOL! I think this book would serve as a nice reminder for them 🙂

Patience and sharing are 2 of the main things we are focusing on now with my almost 3 year old. Since he is an only child, it is sometimes hard to find as many opportunites to encourage them. This book sounds like a good way to explain them at his level.
