My Review: Have you ever wondered what kind of job your father has, is it an unusual job? Most kids think if their father isn’t wearing a business suit to work then his job isn’t important. This story is told by a 14 year old girl whose dad works underwater.
She goes on to describe what his work as a Diving Officer is. The special suit needed to protect him from the cold water and the sea creatures. The decompression chamber used to treat divers that are sick. How the oceans provide shipping routes and phytoplankton which provides oxygen. How you feel cooler near the beach because the ocean absorbs heat, and how important it is to protect the oceans.
This wonderfully illustrated book has 25 fun-loving pages in English and in Spanish.
