Keepsake that Educates!

Book Review/Giveaway: The Night Before Father’s Day. Ends June 22nd

The Night Before Father’s Day by Natasha Wing and Illustrated by Amy Wummer

About the Book: #1 DAD. T’was the night before Father’s Day, and while Dad rode his bike, we raced to the garage – Mom, me and Mike. Nothing says “I love you” quite like cleaning out Dad’s garage and washing his car!
My Review: The Night Before Father’s Day by Natasha Wing is a great book for children to read. This book will inspire children to do something nice for their father for Father’s Day.

While dad took a ride his wife and two kids raced to the garage to clean it up. They made sure that every cords, hoses and wires were hung on the hooks. The kids cleaned up the cobwebs and scrubbed up oil spills. Then they washed and polished his car. And left him a new to-go coffee cup. The next day they couldn’t wait to show their dad their hard work by taking him to the garage, it was the neatest garage that he had ever seen and he couldn’t wait to take them all out in his cleaned and polished car for a long Sunday ride.

What a great Father’s Day gift any child can give their dad. I highly recommend this book for every child to read before Father’s Day.

  2. I enjoyed reading your interview with Natasha Wing. I have many of her books and my Kindergarten students always enjoy listening to them. I hope she continues writing more of these books in The Night Before series.

  10. I like that this book shows that giving of our time in service for another person makes a great gift. A gift doesn’t have to be material.

  11. My husband might want us to clean his car, but he wouldn’t want us to clean out the garage, If we did, he might not be able to find anything.

  12. Washing a car is definitely hard work. This would be a nice thing to do for one’s dad any time of the year.
