Wimpy Kid Hard Luck

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck by Jeff Kinney.

About the Book: Greg Heffley’s on a losing streak. His best friend, Rowley Jefferson, has ditched him, and finding new friends in middle school is proving to be a tough task. To change his fortunes, Greg decides to take a leap of faith and turn his decisions over to chance. Will a roll of the dice turn things around, or is Greg’s life destined to be just another hard-luck story? http://www.abramsbooks.com/Books/Diary_of_a_Wimpy_Kid-9781419711329.html

My Review: Greg Heffley is back in the 8th installment of the Wimpy Kid series. And he is about to loose his best friend. Greg’s mother told him that, friends will come and go but family is forever. Greg would rather have a friend than put up with his family. He loves his family, but he isn’t sure that they were meant to live together. But he knows that his mother is only trying to make him feel better about the situation with Rowley.

Rowley has been his friend ever since he moved into his neighborhood. They did everything together. But their friendship is about to be tested as Rowley has a new friend, a girlfriend. Gregg is not only upset because his best friend, Rowley, has a girlfriend but he always thought he would be the first to have a girlfriend not Rowley. They hardly spend time together and when they do Abigail is always there and when she is not Rowley will be talking to her on his cell phone. Gregg felt kicked to the curb. He even tried being friends with Abigail but she doesn’t like him. Gregg found out that making new friends isn’t easy. One day while in Rodrick’s room he spotted a magic 8 ball under his bed. He decided to use the magic 8 ball to guide his decisions. If you are a fan of the Wimpy Kid series pick one up today and find out if the magic 8th ball helped him in making good decisions and did he get his best friend back. Book Review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The Third Wheel

Wimpy Kid Third Wheel

The Third Wheel (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Book 7) by Jeff Kinney

About the Book: Greg Heffley is not willing to be the odd man out.

A dance at Greg’s middle school has everyone scrambling to find a partner, and Greg is determined not to be left by the wayside. So he concocts a desperate plan to find someone—anyone!—to go with on the big night.

But Greg’s schemes go hilariously awry, and his only option is to attend the dance with his best friend, Rowley Jefferson, and a female classmate as a “group of friends.” But the night is long, and anything can happen along the way. Who will arrive at the dance triumphantly, and who will end up being the third wheel?

My Review: Greg Heffley is back and this time he and his best friend Rowley are getting ready for the school dance. But Greg is finding it hard to get a date for the dance. He tried his best to impress a girl but would it work? He even tried to get advice from his uncle Gary. So if your child is a lover of the Wimpy Kid books pick one up today and find out if Greg did get a date for the Valentine’s Day dance. For a copy visit Amazon.com
