The Easter Basket

The Easter Basket by Beth Harwood (Illustrations), Susanna Ronchi (Illustrations)

About the Book: On a bright Easter morning, a bunny finds a pretty basket sitting on the path through the meadow. Whose could it be? The bunny hops through town, visiting families and their little ones as they prepare for joyful Easter celebrations. Finally, she hops into the arms of her mommy—the Easter Bunny!—and discovers the true owner of the lovely basket.

Sprightly illustrations, adorable baby animals, and sturdy three-dimensional scenes on every spread make this book a holiday treat for the whole family.

  4. This book reminds me of the new kids show on tv- Peter Rabbit. Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. Getting dressed up to go to church seems eggstra-special on Easter. The finding of eggs, the baskets, the ham dinner- I am glad that my kids enjoy Easter as much as I do. Easter is an early Thanksgiving.
You always find the best books to review Ella- thank you.

  7. This sounds like the kind of book my 4yo daughter would enjoy immensely. She loves rabbits and I could imagine her acting this storyline out again and again after we read it together. The detail of the cover illustration makes me believe that there would be much to discover in the illustrations – I can imagine talking with her about what she sees in the pictures that adds detail to the story we’re exploring.

  14. My daughter loves books that have the three-dimensional scenes. Books like this are great to tuck in an Easter basket. I also like to give seasonal books; then each time we read them we can remember that year we celebrated the holiday. I’m sure my daughter would like the illustrations; looks very girly and bright…just her idea of interesting.
