Keepsake that Educates!

Book Review/Giveaway: Let’s Talk About Love. Ends April 30th

Lets Talk about Love

Let’s Talk About Love written and illustrated by Camy De Mario

About the Book: A cute puppy and a young boy come from two different places, but somehow they find their way into each other life…

My Review: A mixed breed puppy named Love lives on an island in the Bahamas. His home was a smelly dump on top of a hill sleeping in a cardboard box. While he was out looking for food a big wave swept him out into the ocean. As he was struggling to swim back to shore a sea turtle rescued him and carried him back to the shore. Love was so grateful that the turtle saved his life. While out the next morning looking for food he came across a young dolphin trapped in a fish net. Love started to bite through the net to set the dolphin was free. The dolphin was so grateful that he helped Love find a way to be adopted by a family.

There is also another story about a boy name Joel whose home was destroyed by a powerful earthquake and his family did make it out alive. He had no family and no home. Read about how Love met Joel and how they found a family and a home.

This is a very touching and educational story. The illustrations are colorful and bold which helps bring the story to life. I highly recommend this book for classroom reading.

  2. A Dog named Love…..Very cute. I like how the dog seems to find someone who needs his help. Kinda bringing out the meaning of Love. I didn’t see an age range for this book but think my 3 year old would love it! Dogs are her favorite topic nowadays. Thanks for the chance.

  7. I enjoy reading stories where the characters help each other for the benefit of all. Also having animals as the main characters makes it even better.
