Book Spotlight and Giveaway: The Sword of Light. Shayia’s Adventures. Ends Oct 13th

About the Author Kimberli Reneé Campbell

Kimberli resides in Nebraska with her husband, Todd, and their two sons, Xavier and Alex. After working outside the home for many years, the Lord opened a door to allow her to write The Sword of Light from home, where she continues to work with the support of her family and friends.
What is The Sword of Light?

No, it’s not an actual sword — it’s something much more powerful!

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” As believers and followers of Christ, we need to outfit ourselves with this sword.

Ephesians 6:17 says, “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

Now here’s the real question… How many of us struggle with reading and using this powerful weapon daily? I have to raise my hand. When the Lord blessed me with this story, being in the Word was something I needed to do; not only to develop Shayia, the main character, but for my own spiritual well-being. Like Shayia, we need to learn to absorb the word into our hearts and not just our heads.

Why the Sword of Light? We are constantly under attack from the enemy. Our best defense and our best offense is to know who we are in Christ. Let us stand firm on the authority given to us by God.

Therefore, let us equip ourselves with – The Sword of Light.

The Sword of Light: Shayia’s Adventures ~ Book One.

About the Book: The Sword of Light is not about an ordinary sword. The sword Shayia wields was crafted by his father’s hands following the instructions of the Creator. Shayia’s unique sword draws its power from the Sacred Book. When situations arise, the Word materializes across the blade aiding Shayia in his true quest.

When the dark force that killed his father once again returns to threaten the peaceful village of Sedona, Shayia must face his sworn enemy – the sorcerer Izahrik and the evil Draga he commands. Armed with his father’s magnificent sword, he sets out on a journey that will change him forever. Will revenge and hatred consume him, or will Shayia learn the secret to true victory?

  2. I’m putting this book on my wish list. The synopsis seems like something I’d be interested in. The blending of fantasy and biblical elements is something I want to incorporate in my own writing. I think biblical principles are easier for YA readers to digest in a form that’s entertaining.

  3. I love how this story conveys through fiction the truth that there is nothing more powerful than the truth of Gods Word.
