Playtime Manners for Little Monkeys by Susie Lee Jin

About the Book: In this book—her third in the little monkey series (It’s Bedtime for Little Monkeys and Good Table Manners for Little Monkeys)—artist and author Susie Lee Jin teaches important lessons to little ones about playing nicely with friends. Brightly colored and impressively simple, this sturdy board book is full of wisdom and charm.

While the little monkeys play across the pages, they learn to be polite and kind, to share their toys, and to clean up when they are finished playing. Caught up in these sweet critters— antics, a child easily learns that manners at play make play fun.

My Review: Playtime manners gives an outline of being polite and kind to your friends, decide what to play when you are with your friends, being nice and share your toys, have a positive attitude, always help to clean up and put the toys away and when its time to leave remember to say “thanks for the fun play date!”, “see you next time” and good-bye. What a great way to teach children about playtime manners. Good for classroom teaching.

  1. I love this book. I have two monkeys and my youngest is truly a monkey, jumping and climbing on everything. Maybe this monkey book will help them to see how playtime with each other should be instead of how it is now. Thanks for the review Ella.

  13. What cute illustrations. They are sure to grab my 3 year old granddaughters attention. She is going through a stage where she will not share with her sister. This book would also be great for my kinders who are learning to share and work together in a class.
