About the Author: With a number of awards from international student festivals showcasing her admirable talents as a gifted musician, sculptor and artist, Boston-based Tabitha Z. Baskin is a prolific writer who has an amazing zest for creativity. Born legally blind, she never took it as a hindrance to continue living for her dream and doing what she’s good at.

She earned a degree in Psychology from Eastern Nazarene College in Massachusetts and was given recognition for her talents in the arts and memorization. Tab loves to play the piano and the ukulele, her best buddies when she’s in the mood to strum her heart out. Her love for animals blends in with her passion for art as seen in her unique creations of shaped and stuffed animals from scratch.

Her flair for writing comes naturally as she written 22 books for this interesting children’s series which are awaiting publication anytime soon.


About the Book: JR Terrier is a book series of animal adventures in Poochville. JR Terrier is more than just a lovable pup, in fact he gets into more antics than your average pet. In book one of JR TERRIER and the MESSAGE JR teaches us about the value of friendship and loyalty.

I read daily to the children in my classroom and I am constantly searching for stories that will hold their attention and get them excited…what better way to excite a child about a book, then to make it about a high spirited pup! This sounds like a story that the children will not only love to read but also be able to relate to it!

  7. Animals are so appealing to children, and presenting topics such as friendship and loyalty through an animal story is more likely to stay with them. My grandkids would love JR Terrier.
