In My Mailbox was started in November of 2008 by The Story Siren. This is a great way to feature Author’s books even though it might not be in the form of a review. In My Mailbox is a great way for bloggers to socialize and network their blogs, it’s also a great way for bloggers to share upcoming releases!

Anyone can participate in IMM and you are not limited to only sharing books that arrive via your mailbox. You can also share books that you’ve bought or books that you’ve gotten at the library

  1. My little boy and I LOVE ‘You Can Do It Sam’ by Amy Hest and Anita Jeram. Partly because it is so personal to us: the little bear has the most wonderful name in the world(!) and there is such a lovely connection between mother and child – though I wish the mummy bear was called ‘Miss’ Bear, not ‘Mrs’! I also find the style of writing really soothing (is it meant to be the adult who is soothed by a children’s book?!) and the plot has absolutely inspired me to bake cakes/cookies with Sam and distribute them secretly amongst our neighbours. Well, just as soon as I clear enough space in the kitchen!

We also love ‘Kiss Goodnight Sam’ by the same author and illustrator.
