Book Review: How to Be God’s Little Princess by Sheila Walsh

How to Be God’s Little Princess: Royal Tips for Manners, Etiquette & True Beauty by Sheila Walsh

What does it take to be a princess? Sheila Walsh has some important answers to share for every little girl. This trendy design features black & white line art and a two-color pink and black interior. The art will tie to each how-to topic in the book-how to make the best pink cookies, how to wear a tiara, how to earn money at home, how to care for a royal dog, how to be respectful, how to use good manners, how to help Mom, how to follow Jesus, how to act like a princess when things go terribly wrong, and many more.

My Review: This book is about tips on manners, etiquette and true beauty. It talks about how to dress like a princess, how to wear a Tiara, perfect poise, princess style, success, sparkle like a princess and so on.

I loved the added scriptures, activities and quiz and best of all the talk about ‘How to be Friends Princess Style – Friendship Focus – “Many people claim to be loyal. But it is hard to find someone who really can be trusted”.

Cute book about manners but the emphasis on how you look was overbearing for me instead of their inner beauty or the section teaching you how to wave like a princess. My only worry is, not everybody is a huge fan of anything to do with princess. I recommend that parents sit and read this book with their children.

Book Review & Author’s Interview:Good Night, Little Sea Otter by Janet Halfmann

Good Night, Little Sea Otter by Janet Halfmann Illustrated by Wish Williams

Children will want to settle down for bedtime with Little Sea Otter as he snuggles on Mama’s chest in a cozy bed of sea kelp and bids good night to all his ocean friends. From sea lions to sea snails, seagulls to seals and sea urchins, it seems he’ll never close his eyes. But gently rocking seas, twinkling stars, and Mama’s loving arms lull Little Sea Otter—and children everywhere—to dreamland.

What a wonderful bedtime story for children. Most children do not look forward to bedtime so like Otter, who tries to postpone bedtime as long as possible by saying good night to all his ocean friends including the moon and the stars. What a clever way of staying up pass your bedtime…lol!

The illustrations by Wish Williams are beautiful with bold colors that bring the book to life. I definitely recommend this book for any bedtime collections. Janet Halfmann has done it again with a wonderful animal book.

Reading Level: 4 – 8

Pages: 24

I received a complimentary copy from the Author to review and giveaway on my blog.
