Book Review/Giveaway: Harrison Enters the Soap Box Derby. Ends Sept 16th
Harrison Enters the Soap Box Derby. The Harrison Series by Becky Howard.
About the Book: Harrison loves adventure! So when he sees a sign about a soap box derby race in his small town of Florence, he wants to enter the race. He asks for help from his Daddy and Papa John. The three of them get busy building the best derby car they can imagine. Come along with Harrison on this thrilling race day and see what happens. Will he win the exciting race and the trophy? Or will someone else take the prize?
My Review: Harrison was so excited to learn about the Soap Box Derby race happening in his town and couldn’t wait to be a part of it. His dad and grandpa went ahead to build Harrison a Soap Box Car and making such the speed was just right to win the race.
The time for the race has arrived featuring different sizes of Soap Box Cars. Some were big, small, short and tall. And off they go racing down the hill swerving side to side trying hard to avoid obstacles. Harrison was determined to win the race.
I love that each pages of the book had a biblical verse relating to the story, presenting a positive message for kids. Great book for young boys
Great crayon illustration by the author which helps tells the story. I highly recommend this book.
Pages: 28

This book is perfect for my twin nephews who at two are ready for building soap box cars with their Poppy.
This reminds me of when I was younger (long time ago)
My grandsons would enjoy this for sure. Thanks for the review Ella.

I love that little boys can relate so well to this story that offers so much positivity!! Looks simply adorable
I like books for children that tell of present day experiences with underlying biblical principle. It teaches without sounding preachy. Cheresevines@hotmail.com
I love the premise of this book. As a mother of 5 boys, I am always looking for positive themed books for them to read. It is hard to do sometimes.

Great book!
I think my son would really like this. He hasn’t entered a Soap Box Derby, but he’s been in the Pinewood Derby.
My boys have never experienced a soap box derby so I think this would be a great book for them to read. I like how there is a bible verse on each page and the crayon illustrations look very colorful.
The crayon illustration looks very sweet and charming. I forward to finding out if Harrison wins the soap box derby race.
