Heart of a Hero by Billi Tiner
Lady, an Irish Setter puppy, is leading a simple life on a farm in Ohio during the 1940’s. Lady’s biggest desire is to become an expert hunting dog like her mother. She has no idea that her life is going to take her down a path where she will find herself in the middle of incredibly dangerous situations, including a world war. On several occasions, Lady will have to find the courage to risk her life in order to save someone she loves. Welcome Home and Heart of a Hero sound wonderful! What a beautiful black lab. I just love reading books that have dogs as a central theme. It must come from reading Red Badge of Courage when I was a child!
I read a book like that when I was little – I loved it. I think I’ve always enjoyed animal books. I think I’d enjoy this one!
I love reading books like this. I think this is the first time where the story is told by the animal. These types of stories ar so emotional and always filed with courage and loyalty. I’m happy to have found another new Author in Billi Tiner. Thanks for this opportunity.

I read all the books about dogs that I can! I used to have a mixed breed dog that looked like a small black lab so this book would remind me of her. So glad that Jake escaped!
Reblogged this on InspiredWeightloss!.
It is too bad many other such dogs can not end up like Jake did.
I enjoy reading inspirational stories about animals. These characters in these books sound very brave and loyal.
